March at Advance Group.

March at Advance Group

We’ve officially entered quarter two of 2019. A new year (business wise), new ventures and new starters in the Advance office. We’re not quite sure how time has flown by at such speed. Time flies when you’re having fun, as they say. We’ve had a phenomenal first quarter of the year and things are continuing to build and grow rapidly.

Updates

Advance TM Group have had a very busy month. With four construction industry events to attend and several meetings we’ve certainly been travelling around a fair bit throughout March. First up we had the Futurebuild event which was busy as always, later in the month we visited the UK Concrete Show, the RCI Show and the Homebuilding and Renovating Show all Midlands based events.

In the office we also took part in pancake day much to the delight of the staff. Our fantastic team leader Lisa went above and beyond to make pancakes for the whole team which everyone appreciated hugely.

We also celebrated a great first quarter with a very tasty Wok & Go for the whole team during the month. It went down a treat and we also had the Mother’s Day Incentive running at the end of the month to get the team working hard and competing for some great prizes.

Announcements

The Director himself celebrated his birthday this month. Mike Whitfield celebrated his 39th birthday in style with banners and balloons and a nice bottle of something to savour during his last year in his thirties.

The office expanded rapidly over the past month, so we’re pleased to introduce the newest two members of the team to you all.

Both Josh Walker and Ellie Manford have hit the ground running with our campaigns and we’re certain they’ll be a fantastic addition to the Advance Group team.

Advance Group also have some exciting business news as they have partnered with a new media company, The Concrete Jungle. Already one of the fastest growing UK construction blogs they’re planning to launch their flagship sustainable construction magazine this year and we are very excited to be a part of that.

“A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others.”

Looking forward…

We’ve got plenty to be getting on with this month. Between new campaigns, clients and employees as well as exciting business ventures. Advance TM Group are growing fast, working with new companies, taking on new staff and venturing into new areas of the construction industry.

We also wrote an article on “How to choose your construction telemarketing partner” and plan to write some more informative articles over the next few months to ensure your company makes the best business development decisions. Keep an eye out for those on social media.

It’s an exciting time to be a part of the Advance team that’s for sure.

Director highlights

Mike – My highlight this month was our Business Development Manager attending the UK’s biggest construction event, Futurebuild, and networking with our existing clients and potential new partners. We’ve had a great response off the back of this and look forward to attending more industry events over the next year.

Simon – My highlight this month was the incredible work the Advance team have done. Our client retention and past clients returning is a testament to the team’s ability and skills and our Team Manager Rich’s continuous hard work.

CGG (Construction Growth Generator)

The Concrete Jungle – Latest news…

As mentioned above we’re now partnering with The Concrete Jungle, a UK construction news blog and soon to be sustainable construction magazine.

Here are some of our favourite articles from the website over the past month.

Following results from a recent survey and supporting data, Anjni Varsani, Cost Manager at TowerEight provides an insight into why the UK Construction Industry needs to call for action to overcome the lengthening skills gap:

Can the UK Construction sector overcome the lengthening skills gap?

When it comes to construction there’s a similarly special relationship which is vital to get right if the project is to be a success. The bond between architects and engineers is a strong one and it’s this interaction and collaboration between the two which allows building plans to be created, refined and then become a reality.
